Having opened & closed down at least THREE jernts over the recent past, Myrna & hubby give it another shot in a hole-in-da-wall on the Stamford-Darien line. Always, their food has been excellent, but they probably are not businees folk. The original "Myrna's", in the heart of Malloy's teeming illegal population, was probably the most successful, but with an additional venture into Greenwich to serve the filthy rich was a bomb, the closed Stamford & went to Darien with a French-Lebanese flair to go after the Stepford Wives. That closed in the middle of the night and now the "Deli". Still with a few of the popular Lebanese dishes (no dish!), they know make wraps, salads & Boar's head heroes. No where to sit but the parking lot, yet the line is out the door at lunch-time. Being across the street from McMahon's WWE headquarters helps too.
These are good people from an old-line Lebanese family when Beruit was the "Paris" of the Middle-East, making great food. Get a sangweech here. |
