The oysters were small and contained sand and pieces of shell, at $18 per dozen. The steamed clams were old and tough. The person at the clambar offered to knock off the price of the clams ($10), an offer which I declined. I paid the full $28, but included no tip. When I tried to explain to the owner why we would not be coming back, he denied that the oysters contained pieces of shell, saying that many had been served and no one else had complained. Not a diplomatic response. Maybe he thought that we were trying to get the whole thing for free. Maybe he was having a bad day. I don't know, but I can't recommend a place where the owner didn't even acknowledge that the customer might be right. Disappointed

Five of us went for dinner. Appetizers three were ordered.spinach bread was good I was told nothing special but great to order when you have a larger party.clams casino were absolutely amazing, stuffed hot banana peppers were the last, we thought they needed more cheese it tasted like it had just too much bread crumbs. The house dressing and homemade garlic butter was so good ,the butter was served with warm Italian bread. I could t stop eating it. For dinner my friend and I shared two dinners chicken locates it was tasty but needs a sauce under it. For my side I choose like a smashed potato and harder vegetables which were green beans and sliced carrots. Nicely done not too don't fresh and no summer squash to be found. The other dish we liked better grilled egg plant with spaghetti. It was so good. I had the best of both works a little sweet but not too much just right. This was our favorite. Alyce had scallops in a monteray cheese sauce on the small side but oh so good. I so would get those again. On the down side was the sole it was too fishy, needed a little more seasoning, but that happens with fish hit or miss, kitchen if it smells back there it still smells and tastes fishy to your guest and servers don t server it if you think it's not right. Our server was so nice and attentive. I didn't,t see something I saw on the menu I saw online and she was so accommodating that I could of had it, but I tried something else. Two of us retired to the bar with Bob the bartender he was so nice. We thought we would finish where we started. I had a very nice and smooth melbac which I really enjoyed. Tracy and I saw a smaller menu and two things caught our eye. Steak sandwich and penne and goat cheese. So Five us went to dinner. For appetizers w had clams casino Amazing. Spin bread which was very good and stuffed hot peppers which were tasty had too much bread crumbs needs a little more cheese.we decided to come back for lunch another day. Everyone was so nice including meeting the owner Mark who was so sweet and listened to everything I just said and accepted my opinions graciously Joanne gray
